A Path Less Traveled…

I have decided after a long time to start a blog.  For a while now I have had some very negative thoughts about blogs and the people that write them.  That they were mostly just people looking to gain attention or people agonizing over personal details that should probably remain private.  I have to admit that I still hold to most of these thoughts so my aim in writing this blog is going to be different.  I aim to record my random thoughts on many topics including but not limited to politics, history, sports, books and movies I have read or seen recently, as well as any spiritual observations that I have to offer up.  

To explain the title a little bit, I know the phrase is supposed to go “A penny for your thoughts” but I figured that since what you might find here in this blog may not make much sense to you, or you might completely disagree with what I have to say, that I should probably pay at least a penny for taking up your valuable time.  Now please note the total sarcasm in the last sentence, but I must say that if you can somehow prove to me that you have read all my posts and send me a bill I would seriously think of paying up.  

So right about now you might be thinking why should I even be reading this?  Besides the prospect of getting paid a minimal amount of money for somehow proving that you read this blog I think I can provide some interesting thoughts and observations on the world around us.  Thoughts and observations that are a byproduct of a worldview that is formed by the words and actions of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible.  Now you might be asking yourself a second question, what is a worldview?  Well the short answer would be that a worldview seeks to explain the origin, the meaning, and the destiny of life on this earth.  Hopefully I can clearly explain my thoughts on those three things as I make more entries.  

So to paraphrase the immortal words of TobyMac, “get on the train now!” It’s going to be a fun ride through many entries, it might get bumpy, just hang on cause I don’t even know where we’ll be going just yet.
